2020-2021 Employee Requirements
Mandated Reporter Training
Pursuant to California Assembly Bill 1432 - Mandated Child Abuse Reporters, district employees must complete and show proof of annual training within 6 weeks of each school year and within 6 weeks of a new hire's date of hire. The District utilizes Keenan SafeSchools training portal to comply with these mandates.
Please follow the directions to complete the state mandated training:
Your Username is your Employee ID# (located on your paystub)
- Enter your username (District Employee ID#), click "Login." The system will verify who you are on the next page. If it is correct, click the "Log Me In" button.
- If necessary, adjust your speakers to hear the audio.
- In order to receive full credit, you must complete each of the modules and successfully pass the quiz at the end of the course.
- Trainings must be completed no later than Friday, August 28, 2020.
*Note: Keenan SafeSchools will track where you left off in the course, as long as you complete the entire module. In the event you log off in the middle of a module, you will need to begin that same module again once logging back in. You will see a green check mark to the left of the modules you have already completed. To log back in to Keenan SafeSchools, please go to http://ewcsd.keenan.safeschools.com/login and follow the steps above.

Employee Handbook and Annual Notifications Acknowledgment
Once a year, the District provides employees with Annual Employee Notifications and obtains acknowledgments indicating receipt of the notifications.
By completing the Employee Handbook and Annual Notifications Acknowledgment you acknowledge that you have been notified that the East Whittier City School District Employee Handbook is available online, in the school/department office, or in hard copy upon request to Personnel Services. Furthermore, you understand that you are expected to read the handbook and ask any questions that you might have.
Complete the Employee Handbook and Annual Notifications Acknowledgment no later than Friday, August 28, 2020.
