Mrs. Wendy Carrera - President
Mrs. Wendy Carrera is passionate about education and empowering young minds. A product of LAUSD, Carrera values her role as a public servant to her community. She was born and raised in East Los Angeles by a single mother and has one sister. She is a proud ELL learner and is currently the Coordinator/Advisor and Professor at Rio Hondo College. Education is her second career. She holds graduate degrees and understands the importance of a quality education. She enjoys watching films, reading, and spending time with her two children and husband, but best of all she enjoys laughter. She was first elected in 2020.
