24-25 Transitional Kindergarten Application
The TK application for the 2024-2025 school year will open on January 29, 2024 and is for East Whittier City School District residents only. Eligible TK students must have their 5th birthday between September 2nd - June 2nd. Students not falling within this birth date range will only be considered if space permits.
Transitional Kindergarten will be offered at most of our elementary schools:
Evergreen:
Full-Day (8:20-2:15)
Half-Day (8:20-12:00)
Orchard Dale:
Full-Day (8:10-2:05)
Half-Day (8:10-11:50)
La Colima:
Full-Day (8:20-2:15)
Laurel:
Full-Day (8:05-2:00)
Mulberry:
Half-Day (8:10-11:50)
Murphy Ranch:
Full-Day (8:00-1:55)
Ocean View:
Full-Day (8:00-1:55)
Scott Avenue:
Full-Day (8:10-2:05)
Notifications will be delivered via email on or before April 1st. No updates will be provided over the phone.
After completion of the TK school year, students will be assigned to their neighborhood school for Kindergarten. If parents would like their child to attend a school other than their neighborhood school, they will need to apply for an Intradistrict Permit during the open enrollment period.

Esta aplicación es para el año escolar 2024-2024\5 y abrirá el 30 de Enero, 2024 y es para los residentes del distrito escolar de East Whittier City solamente. Los estudiantes de TK elegibles deben tener su quinto cumpleaños entre el 2 de septiembre y el 2 de junio. Los estudiantes que no cumplan años dentro de esas fechas de nacimiento serán considerados si el espacio lo permite.
