Superintendent's Message
The East Whittier City School District provides an outstanding educational program for all students. We are fortunate to have teachers and support staff who care deeply about student learning. Our parents and community members believe in our schools and make every effort to be the best partners they can be. Those partnerships are essential to continuing the quality of education that we all desire.
From our Board of Education to our many volunteers, from our teachers to our support staff, we are all committed to the students of this great district. We know the difference we make in each child’s future and the difference each of them will make in the future of this community and nation.
During these very difficult financial times, I would be remiss if I did not mention our new 501c3, non-profit , Arts Education Foundation. This foundation has been established to raise sufficient funds for the district to provide a sustainable Arts Education program for the district. We believe Arts Education is very important and my vision is that the district’s Arts Education program would no longer be reliant on state funding but would be sustained by the generous contributions of our staff and community.
We encourage and invite you to become involved in the learning process of our students. There are many opportunities for you to participate in school and District committees or volunteer at the school site. We hope you will take the opportunity to do so.
